Our New Year's Resolution

Our New Year's Resolution

Hello Friend!

Did you have a great holiday? I hope so.

Between holiday sales and our recent trips, it was crazy and so much fun! In December, JT and I went to Nashville and Aruba to spend some time together and think over 2018 and get ready for the 2019 year coming up. It was rejuvenating and I learned a lot about myself.

2018 had a lot of ups and downs. I got married (and had an insanely fun wedding!), revamped Atonement and changed the direction of my business, moved into JT’s house and did a lot of traveling. The year also had its difficulties, too. I heavily battled some fertility issues which brought on a lot of stress and anxiety and attempted to overcome every feeling of inadequacy while walking through my business journey. Putting yourself out there is hard! Anyone else feel that way? I was the shy girl growing up and she still lingers inside me. With all that to say, 2018 was hard and I feel like I lost myself a little bit.

Anywho, I’m so happy the year has come to an end and there’s a new one here to mark a different chapter over my life. I started off this year doing Whole 30 (with the exception of last week’s dinner at The Melting Pot- oops), going to the gym more (like everyone else), spending more time with God and reading the book “You Are Free: Be Who You Already Are” by Rebekah Lyons. This book is life changing, Y'all! You should check it out :)

I’m already feeling like who I’m supposed to be again.

Enough about me…

Also in 2019, there are some big things planned for Atonement! Are you ready?

    1.   Destiny Rescue

If you didn't already know, I’ve been working with Destiny Rescue to create my latest line.

This organization is amazing. They rescue children out of sex trafficking, work to restore their sweet little lives and give vocational training when they reach the appropriate age.

One of their training programs teaches them how to make jewelry and I’m so honored to work with them! They’re almost done replicating some samples of my designs and they’ll be moving towards production soon! AHHHHH! To Thailand, we will go!

  1.   My New AMAZING Sales Rep

This year I’ll be working with a gal named Sierra to rep Atonement’s jewelry line. She reps ethically made brads (yeah- she’s awesome) and gets them into stores all over the West coast-  from Alaska, down to Arizona and all the way over to Montana.

She’ll be bringing my designs to stores all over the West coast!

Do you know what this means? The more store’s we’re in, the more survivors we can employ, the more Destiny Rescue we can save, and the more freedom we will see! This world needs a revival and I hope we can do our small part. Let’s eradicate slavery together!

With that said, if you know any boutique/store owners, can you send them my way? We should be ready to ship the line in spring (and I always have my handmade designs to start them off with! Proceeds from the pieces I make are donated to the A21 Campaign).

  1.   More Affordable Clothing Items

Do you want to shop consciously but feel like you can’t always afford it? Yeah, me too. I would LOVE to have a large disposable income, but that’s just not the reality we all live in. With that said, I’ve been working hard to find some more affordable items for y’all (and myself too- let’s be real) that are in line with the brand. Sierra, my rep, has solutions for us that will be coming this year. Don’t worry- the beautiful brands we already carry will remain!

  1.   PR

I paired up with an awesome PR girl. We actually went to Point Loma together! She worked in PR after college and now runs her own firm. Mattea is savvy, smart and GORGEOUS! I can’t wait to work with her.

Mattea can be found at mattea@spradlingpr.com, spradlingpr.com.

  1.   Body Products

I’ll be carrying body products this year, too. Stay tuned! Let’s just say I’m really into lavender right now…

I hope to bring you even more exciting updates as the year goes on. I’m working on planning out my 2019 calendar now (as every good enneagram 3 should) and would love to host any and all events with you! I LOVE doing pop up parties for friend groups and ladies nights. If you’d like to host one, just email me! haley@atonementdesign.com

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for your never-ending support and love, encouragement when days are hard and for all that you’ve contributed to my business. Even by following my journey, you’ve made a huge impact on my life. Without you, I wouldn’t have a business.

Love you,

Haley J
